Discover Bixby, Texas: A Community Overview

Bixby is located about twelve miles southwest of Harlingen in southwestern Cameron County near the Hidalgo county line. This community existed by the early 1990s and consists of primarily Hispanic, lower-income families. The first population figures were recorded in the 2000 census when Bixby reported 356 residents. It is part of the La Feria Independent School District.
