Discover Cassie, Texas: A Growing Community Near Lake Buchanan

Cassie is located on Farm Road 690 about ten miles west of Burnet in western Burnet County. The community began in the 1970s as a development along the eastern shore of Lake Buchanan. By the early 1980s the residential area had its own volunteer fire department. The first population figures were reported in 2000 when Cassie had 446 residents.
