Discover Copano Village: A Charming Residential Community in Aransas County

Published: July 7, 2004

Copano Village is a residential development on Farm Road 1781 located three miles north of Rockport in Aransas County. The subdivision is near the Aransas County Airport and sits on the shores of Copano Bay, probably the inspiration for the name of the community. Homes existed in the area as early as the 1940s and 1950s, but no population figures were available for Copano Village until 1990, when the census recorded 210 residents. The development maintained that number through 2000.
