Crescent Heights is a small unincorporated residential community located on State Highway 31 about five miles west of Athens in west central Henderson County. The community probably began in the first half of the twentieth century, and county highway maps in 1936 showed sawmills and a mine in the area. In 2000 Crescent Heights reported a population of thirty-five, and several churches, including Crescent Heights Baptist Church, were located in the vicinity.
