Discover Dogwood City: A Lakeshore Community in Texas

Dogwood City is a community located on State Highway 155, about sixteen miles southwest of Tyler in the extreme southwestern corner of Smith County. This lakeshore development on a peninsula in Lake Palestine began in the 1970s. The community included homes as well as recreational amenities. Some businesses operated along the highway. In 2000 Dogwood City had a population of 800.
