Discover Grand Acres: A Growing Community in Cameron County

Grand Acres is located off Farm Road 506 about nine miles northwest of Harlingen in western Cameron County. This residential community probably began in the 1990s and consists of primarily Hispanic, lower-income families. The first population figures were recorded in the 2000 census when Grand Acres reported 203 residents. It is part of the Santa Rosa Independent School District.
