Hillcrest Village: A Brief Overview of the Community

Hillcrest Village is a residential community located south of State Highway 6, about two miles southeast of Alvin and twenty-four miles south-southeast of Houston in northeastern Brazoria County. The affluent development on Mustang Bayou began in the early 1960s and incorporated in 1962. By 1970 the town had 358 residents. That figure increased to 771 in 1980 but had leveled off to 695 in 1990. Hillcrest Village has a mayor-council form of city government and no businesses. In 2000 the town had a population of 722.
