Kellers Corner is located at the corner of State Highway 4 and Farm Road 511 about five miles east of Brownsville in southeastern Cameron County. Settlement in this area probably began during the first half of the twentieth century. County highway maps in 1936 showed a school, businesses, homes, and farms in the area, though the name of Kellers Corner was not designated. Highway maps showed Kellers Corner, near the Brownsville-South Padre Island International Airport, by 1980. Population figures were not available until the 2000 census when the community reported 123 residents.
