Discover Rocky Point: A Hidden Gem in Burnet County

Rocky Point is a small lakeshore community located on Farm Road 690 about ten miles northwest of Burnet in central western Burnet County. This development on the eastern shore of Lake Buchanan was probably named for a nearby geographical feature on the shoreline. Though Rocky Point was shown on county maps in the 1970s, no population figures were available until 2000, when the community reported 102 residents.
