Discover Scenic Oaks: A Growing Suburban Community Near San Antonio

Scenic Oaks is a suburban community located west of Interstate Highway 10 about twenty-four miles northwest of downtown San Antonio in northwestern Bexar County. Residential development began in this area sometime in the 1980s. In 1990 the population was 2,352. That figure increased to 3,279 in 2000.
