Discover South Shore: A Lakeside Community in Bell County

South Shore is a lakeside community off Farm Road 2484 about ten miles southwest of Belton in central Bell County. Probably named for its geographic location on the south shore of Stillhouse Hollow Lake, this residential development began by the 1980s. The 1990 census reported forty residents. The population remained the same in 2000.
