Valley Hi: A Residential Community Near Lackland Air Force Base

Valley Hi is a primarily residential area located west of Loop 410 and near Lackland Air Force Base about ten miles southwest of downtown San Antonio in southwestern Bexar County. Development in the area was shown on county highway maps in the 1970s, but no population figures were available until 2000. At that time Valley Hi was a census-designated place with a population of 3,000. It was within the city limits of San Antonio.
